What is a good workout/exercise routine for me?

Aight, let me explain my situation a little. I’m 6’2 and around 290. Yeah, I’m a big guy. I’m working on losing weight and I’ve got my diet worked out to where I’m eating healthy, drinking lots of water and things like that. I have begun to slim up a little but my big problem is exercise. I don’t do a whole lot of it. My family bought a bow-flex a year or two ago and it just sits in the other room collecting dust. So now I want to break it out and start using it and whatever else anyone suggests to loose weight and gain some muscle. But I’m really not sure how to go about doing all this. About exercising/working out and stuff. Not to mention I’ve tried similar stuff before and could never get motivated. So could anyone offer advice on this? what exercises I should do? when I should do them? etc. And also ways I might keep my interest in it and keep motivated to do it. Any help would be useful. Thanks!
